Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Rumo is operated by Trần Hữu Hoàng Minh, 86 Nguyễn Tư Giản, Đà Nẵng, Đà Nẵng, Vietnam. Contact for all privacy questions and requests: tranhuuhoangminh@gmail.com.

Rumo is a web app (also installable on a phone) that helps people in Đà Nẵng find roommates with similar daily habits and find rooms to rent together. The app is available at https://app.rumo.vn.

2. Information we collect

Information from Google sign-in: when you choose 'Continue with Google', we request the openid, email and profile scopes. We receive your Google account email address, your name and your profile photo. We do not request or read Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google data.

Information you provide: date of birth (to confirm you are 18 or older), gender, display name, a short bio, school or workplace, preferred area and budget, move-in date, the number of months you plan to stay, roommate preferences, and answers to lifestyle questions used for matching.

Phone number: used to verify your account. It is not shown to other users.

Content you create: chat messages, room and roommate listings, photos you upload, reports and blocks.

Payment information: transfer references and order codes for paid features. We do not store bank card numbers or banking passwords.

Technical information: device and browser type, IP address, the time of visits, and the settings the app keeps in your browser (for example, whether you dismissed the install prompt).

3. How we use information

To create and identify your account and sign you in.

To show your profile to other users within the limits of the visibility options in the app, and to match roommates.

To show room listings and to keep listing details, such as the exact house number, private until the landlord approves a viewing.

To keep the community safe: reviewing listings, handling reports, blocking, and suspending accounts that break the rules.

To process payments and activate the features you pay for.

To respond to support requests and to improve the app.

We do not use information received from Google for advertising, and we do not sell personal data.

4. Use of Google user data

Rumo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy

We do not use information received from Google to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, personalised or not.

Specifically: we use Google user data only to provide the sign-in feature and the profile features described above; we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to run the service or to comply with the law; we do not use it to serve ads; and we do not use it to decide credit, employment or insurance eligibility.

You can revoke Rumo's access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. After you revoke access, you can still delete your Rumo account as described in section 8.

5. Visibility of your information

Other users see the profile information you choose to show, your photo, and the listings you publish. Your phone number, date of birth and payment information are not shown to other users.

Room addresses are hidden until a landlord approves a viewing request. Public map positions are offset by about 100–150 metres.

The app warns you when you share phone numbers, links or bank details in early messages. Think carefully before you share such information with someone you have not met in person.

6. Sharing with service providers and legal authorities

We share information only with service providers that help us run Rumo (hosting and backups), under confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose information when required by Vietnamese law or by a competent authority.

7. Storage, security and retention

Data is stored on servers operated for Rumo. Connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Backups are taken daily. Internal access is restricted by role, and administrative actions are logged.

We keep account data while your account is active. Chat messages and listings are kept while they are needed to provide the service or to resolve a report. Financial records are kept for as long as Vietnamese accounting and tax rules require.

8. Your rights and how to delete your data

You may ask us to: confirm what personal data we hold; access, correct or update it; delete your account and personal data; withdraw consent; restrict or object to processing; and lodge a complaint with the competent authority under Decree 13/2023/ND-CP.

To delete your account and data, email tranhuuhoangminh@gmail.com from the address linked to your account (or sign in to the app and use the account deletion option when it is available). We will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except information we must keep by law.

9. Children

Rumo is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will suspend the account and delete the data.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will also notify users inside the app.

1. Ai vận hành Rumo

Rumo do Trần Hữu Hoàng Minh vận hành, địa chỉ 86 Nguyễn Tư Giản, Đà Nẵng. Mọi yêu cầu về dữ liệu cá nhân gửi về tranhuuhoangminh@gmail.com.

2. Dữ liệu chúng tôi thu thập

Chúng tôi chỉ thu thập những gì cần để ghép đôi, hiển thị tin phòng, bảo vệ người dùng và xử lý thanh toán:

2a. Dữ liệu chúng tôi nhận từ Google

Khi bạn chọn Đăng nhập bằng Google, Rumo yêu cầu ba quyền: openid, email và profile (họ tên, ảnh đại diện). Chúng tôi không đọc Gmail, Google Drive, lịch, danh bạ hay bất kỳ dữ liệu Google nào khác.

Rumo dùng dữ liệu này để tạo và xác định tài khoản, hiển thị tên và ảnh đại diện trong hồ sơ, và liên hệ với bạn khi cần liên quan đến tài khoản.

Rumo không dùng dữ liệu nhận từ Google cho quảng cáo, không dùng để phát triển hoặc huấn luyện mô hình AI/ML, và không bán dữ liệu đó. Việc sử dụng và chuyển tiếp thông tin nhận từ API Google tuân theo Google API Services User Data Policy, bao gồm các yêu cầu Sử dụng hạn chế (Limited Use): https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy

Bạn có thể thu hồi quyền truy cập của Rumo bất kỳ lúc nào tại https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Dữ liệu tài khoản được xoá theo mục 7 khi bạn yêu cầu.

4. Vị trí và thông tin nhạy cảm trên tin đăng

Số nhà chính xác của phòng bị ẩn cho tới khi chủ trọ duyệt lịch xem. Vị trí hiển thị công khai được làm lệch khoảng 100–150 m để bảo vệ chủ trọ và người thuê.

Ứng dụng cảnh báo khi bạn chia sẻ số điện thoại, liên kết hoặc số tài khoản trong các tin nhắn đầu tiên. Hãy cân nhắc trước khi chia sẻ thông tin này với người chưa gặp trực tiếp.

5. Chia sẻ dữ liệu

Hồ sơ và tin đăng của bạn hiển thị cho người dùng khác theo đúng phạm vi bạn cho phép trong ứng dụng. Số điện thoại và thông tin thanh toán không hiển thị công khai.

Chúng tôi không bán dữ liệu cá nhân. Dữ liệu chỉ được chia sẻ với nhà cung cấp hạ tầng (máy chủ, sao lưu) đã cam kết bảo mật, hoặc khi cơ quan có thẩm quyền yêu cầu theo quy định pháp luật.

6. Lưu trữ và bảo mật

Dữ liệu được lưu trên máy chủ riêng của Rumo, truyền qua HTTPS, và được sao lưu định kỳ. Quyền truy cập dữ liệu nội bộ được phân theo vai trò và mọi thao tác quản trị đều được ghi nhật ký.

Chúng tôi lưu dữ liệu tài khoản trong suốt thời gian bạn sử dụng dịch vụ. Sau khi bạn xoá tài khoản, dữ liệu sẽ bị xoá hoặc ẩn danh, trừ dữ liệu cần giữ để tuân thủ pháp luật về thanh toán và kế toán.

7. Quyền của bạn

Theo Nghị định 13/2023/NĐ-CP, bạn có quyền: biết dữ liệu nào đang được xử lý; xem, sửa và yêu cầu xoá dữ liệu; rút lại sự đồng ý; yêu cầu hạn chế xử lý; khiếu nại. Để thực hiện các quyền này, gửi yêu cầu đến tranhuuhoangminh@gmail.com.

8. Người dưới 18 tuổi

Rumo chỉ dành cho người từ 18 tuổi trở lên. Chúng tôi không cố ý thu thập dữ liệu của người dưới 18 tuổi. Nếu phát hiện trường hợp này, chúng tôi sẽ khoá tài khoản và xoá dữ liệu.

9. Thay đổi chính sách

Khi chính sách thay đổi, chúng tôi sẽ cập nhật ngày ở đầu trang và thông báo trong ứng dụng với những thay đổi quan trọng.
